Accent of the princess seems off

I don't know of a monarchy where the citizens have American accents. Did I miss something?

I completely agree. The American accent doesn't work, but there's something else missing, something even more important.

The portrayal lacks all the qualities necessary to convince the audience we're looking at royalty. Briana Evigan is attractive, but her performance here Has no regal qualities. Where's the grace? Where's the poise? Where's the finishing school demeanor? The guy playing her love interest had more than she did. She seemed to be playing herself.

This would have worked with better casting. It's too bad. I just couldn't get past the casting. I have a similar problem with Christmas zkiss. The guy is supposed to ne gorgeous, but it doesn't work.

Well, the Lederhosen the men are wearing in that fictional country, suggests its located in the area of Bavaria in Southern Germany and the country Austria.
Been to both places, but never heard any one of the people living there having a thick American accent though.

I agree. The one time I watched it all the way through, it barely held my interest, even though I adore Paul Campbell. I just didn't buy Briana as royalty - more like a naive, but sweet, girl next door.

I am laughing because I came to see what country she is from. Looks like California! All hail the princess of the Pac West!

The princess sounds like a two-pack-a-day smoker.
