I thought given the expectations and the legacy they were going up against when making this sequel, they did a very good job and Blunt was great in the role.

I agree. There is a lot of hatred for this film. Mostly from Hardcore fans of the first film. Many were already hating on it before release....While the songs may not have been as good.....it was a fantastic follow up to the first film. Loved the ending with the balloons. A nice little part for Angela Lansbury....
