I went and saw Mary Poppins Returns at 10:30 am today at Landmark Cinemas. I really enjoyed it. The film is fantastically directed by Rob Marshall and stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, and Colin Firth. Emily Blunt is wonderful as Mary Poppins and the rest of the cast are great too. The film looks beautiful, featuring wonderful costumes and sets. I really enjoyed all the singing and dancing. The movie is a wonderous delight, with wit and whimsy. Mary Poppins Returns is the musical event of the holiday season and the perfect treat for families and the young at heart (like me). I believe and hope it gets some Oscar nominations. I rate Mary Poppins Returns a magical 9/10.

Agred.saw it ALMOST A wk.ago (Thurday, Dec.20,) & today, 12/26/18, Boxing day

And TODAY makes THRICE. (Sunday, 12/29, Dec.29,2018)

Emilies Blunt & Mortier, Lin Manuel Miranda, Colin Firth, Miss Blunt';s husband oonscreen Ben Wishaw (whom I;m normall not familiar with), child actors like Pixies Davies, her and more, Emily Blunt';s predecessor Karen Dotrice (!!!) and other bits from Dick Van Dyke (TWO roles in the original), Meryl Streep and Angela Lansb ury!! (I tap tip toed outside the theatre to those..)

Without a doubt. It’s a beautifully made film that’s just full of wonder. Pure escapism.
