I have seen both of the Mr Bean versions of Maigret and think that perhaps if he added some of the expressions from his famous character these might have actually been better.
As it is, he is the least interesting character in each episode. No humour yet no gravitas.
Please. No more of them.
I disagree with you completely. I think Rowan is great in the role and I appreciate that his Maigret is very quiet and reserved, it's different from many other portrayals of fictional detectives that I've seen in the past. I like it and I can't wait to see the next two episodes airing in 2017.
