Seriously, between “Preacher” and “The Green Hornet”, Seth Rogen needs to have his comic book adaptation privileges revoked. He doesn’t understand what makes them appealing. Unfortunately, he has another one, “The Boys”, coming out.
“Preacher” stings because a) it’s one of the best comic series ever and b) it will be years before anyone attempts to adapt it again.
Maybe it's because I watched the show before I was aware it was based on a comic, but after watching the first two seasons and then reading book one, I'm honestly okay with the changes that were made. I can definitely understand how not sticking to the source material is frustrating though. That's how I feel about The Walking Dead. Though it's the same thing there where I knew about the show first.

I still think it would work best as an animation. A bit like Supernatural: The Animation. You could nail the aesthetics of the character design, do all the crazy shit etc. Live action just takes too much away from the source material. Especially with their crappy casting choices.
No-no, not just comic book adaptation privileges revoked. He needs to be blacklisted and banished from the film industry forever! Also, he can take his buddy James Franco with him.
