...and how does he fit into the whole scheme of things? (Charles Fraith)

I've watched each episode, but while I was watching the latest re: Agatha's
'almost' marriage, this guy Charles popped up and I don't remember him from
before, but I'm sure he was in previous episodes, of course. And I really don't want to review all of the previous episodes again.

It's just that some of the episodes, or parts of them, are so ridiculous/boring/tiresome, etc., I guess I tuned him out, or something.

I find Agatha really annoying at times.
To me, she tries a little TOOOO hard to play 'fake-stupid', 'fake-näive', 'fake-coy', 'fake-...' - not sure what type of woman she's trying to be here.
Other characters are OK.

Charles "Shagger" Fraith is new to Carseley (and sleeps with anything that has a pulse). He owns Malmouth Hall and was the suspect/almost victim in the Walkers of Dembley episode (Agatha did the PR for his charity film night) and a suspect again in the dead bride episode (the wedding was at the hall & the bride seduced him then blackmailed him for 5k off the wedding price). He and James Lacey are childhood friends.
