I know she disliked the TV series of Hamish Macbeth to the extent where she pilloried it in one of the later HM books. Has she said anything about this series? I don't mind AR, but it certainly doesn't stick all that closely to the books - although perhaps it does more so than HM did to the books.

Alan Moore , for example, is upset at the way hollywood adapted two of his books/made money a huge amount of money by changing aspects of his movies(and gave him no portion of it)and will not work with hollywood for the time being.
The issue is that they still want money to keep up their lifestyle at the end of the day.
While Moore can pick and choose who to work with, his batman comic the killing joke just got a straight to video release last year and fans were ecstatic about this happening M.C. Beaton does not have as much of a choice sadly
i think the problem with hamish. Macbeth was, they chAnged it from a mystery series into a soap. At least this one has kept to being a mystery series.
