Series 2 Announced

I agree. In the books, MC Beaton portrays Agatha as such an ambiguous character. She can be irreverent, hypocritical, two-faced, dishonest, outwardly arrogant and assured, but inwardly quite the opposite. Conversely she can be the do-gooder, and mean what she says....but only when she says it. She's as changeable as the wind, if that's how she can get what she wants. In short she is not a loveable character, but has characteristics which can relate to us all and to which we can relate to.

If you love the botched up TV character, fine, but it ain't Beaton's Agatha Raisin.
