Who thought that Louise appeared to become stronger the longer Elena was there? Maybe a hidden message behind that too.
I think Louise knew what would happen the whole time. Which would explain her not-so-dramatic behavior to everything Kasper was doing to the child.

Another thing I noticed, the doctor seemed to be very uninterested in Elena's concerns and noticeable deterioration. Another possible connection to the whole thing? Maybe... maybe not.

The whole Movie is basically a big "hmmmmm" which I personally love. A movie that makes you think always makes for a great movie.
