Seems to Have Really Slipped Off The Oscars Best Film Radar
When it came out, and up until November ish, it was being touted as the likely winner (in the UK at least)...
Now hardly even see any coverage of it
Dunkirk is a true cinematic experience and would definitely been a good choice for the Oscar. However, the Oscars are being over politically correct these last years and there is only white males in the movie so I guess its fate was sealed. Sad though.

Oh, please-----the film was a huge unexpected box office hit, and it was nominated, I think, for its music. It just wasn't the typical predictable by-the-numbers type of war film people are used to seeing from Hollywood (since it was a British film) and that's what I liked about it. Watching it, you really felt like you were in the middle of the war with the soldiers. Plus the fact that it was so suspenseful throughout---you could never tell who was going to survive and who wasn't. It didn't have jack to do with it most being white guys---what a stupid thing to say. White guys have always gotten most of the accolades award-wise anyway, so y'all ain't got a damn thing to complain about.

2. It is very clear that there is a tendency at Hollywood these last years to favore minorities. You Don't have to have a Superior mind. It is patent if you think about it a few seconds.
3. The fact "white guys have Always gotten most of the accolades award-wise anyway" is not a proper argument in my opinion. You Don't correct an "injustice" by inversing it and repeating it.
