The pain of others makes me feel dead inside.
My heart is drunk.
My soul is tied to an anchor.
The anchor pulls me under.
Surrounding me a sound like thunder.
Water fills my lungs.
I need to breathe.


The cloud of darkness dissipates.
I’m closer to home.
I need your light now.
