Final Season Opening Credits Music

Wow. “Dreaming,” by Blondie, fronted by Debby Harry. We are now in 1984, and Punk is the pop music Zeitgeist: The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The New York Dolls. This show doesn’t miss a musical beat. Like Euphoria and Big Little Lies, they have a music person who knows exactly what s/he is doing. No pun intended (nor was it in the third sentence), I think we’re going out on a high note. If you pay that much attention to the details, the major stuff (narrative, directing, actors’ chemistry) usually falls into place. They change the opening credits music every season, and I think they always get it right. Bravo.

Actually, these songs, etc. were all about 5 years before. Late 70s, not 1984

Hey, I LIVED through the 80s. My memory’s a blur!

But I had fun.

And, to speak more seriously, I was referring to Punk being part of the culture of 84, not that the song itself was from that year; and it is a great intro ditty.

Oh, I loved the song. It's so good...............I just have the clearest memory of 1984. It was when my life totally changed............And, I was a big rock fan in the 70s and 80s. So, I remember the Sex Pistols, etc. being in the late 70s. Punk was no longer the rage by late 1984, which is when the episode is. Certainly not at it's peak of a few years before..........1984 was Prince, Michael, Bruce, and Madonna. They dominated.
