There are rumours that the failure of Vinyl means HBO may shelve this

The air date keeps getting pushed back.

But what does the failure of Vinyl have to do with this show? They're two separate entities that aren't related in any way. I highly doubt this show will be shelved. HBO has always shown loyalty to David Simon, even if his shows don't soar in ratings. The air date being pushed back has no correlation to the failure of Vinyl.

From an article reads "Fortunately HBO liked the pilot – and greenlit the show for three seasons."

Hopefully, the above doesn't change anytime soon and it is indeed three wonderful seasons (i.e. fans/critics enjoy all three seasons).

I do hope this is actually true, that the show is actually really good and we have 3 seasons guaranteed.

I'm really looking foward for this show. I was psyched for The Devil You Know, but unfortunately HBO didn't pick up for series. HBO needs more great dramas.
