Does anyone else really not like Mary?

I don't know what it is about her character that really irritates me. And I really don't find her and Rooster's relationship believable. Am I the only one?

excellent rack

Yeah, it's not the actress it's the character. I find myself rolling my eyes every time she speaks.

reply

I honestly don't understand why she would initially have been with Rooster.

I think Mary is awesome. She has been there and seen that and instead of being a bitch 24/7 she laughs it off and stays positive. I think she knows Rooster is a bit of a child but he is good to her so she can't help but like him. For a simple sitcom I think the character work is pretty damn good.

I agree, until this whole Danny Masterson rapist role he wrote for himself I thought the whole Rooster-Mary thing was pretty cool. She was great in the part.

reply

She is not that great, kind of pointless, rooster would be better served just being a man whore and maybe settle down with a more realistic character and not a cougar grandmother .

reply

I thought she was great, and even Rooster was beginning to grow on he until I read that he was accused by 5 women altogether of rape, and the one of them had their pets killed and was harassed. Danny Masterson is bad news, that was 3 years ago and all his baloney about clearing his name in court is just like the BS Rooster was slinging all the time. What an idiot.

As to Mary I liked her character and I think she and Rooster actually made a good couple. The only problem is that shortly after Rooster had to be written out of the show, her character is now stealing from Maggie's Bar. This is a pretty dark turn for a mostly light-hearted show.
