While i do like the idea of netflix getting into the business of producing more sitcoms with the freedom to use uncensored language, the quality of this show is just terrible! First of all, Kutcher's rediculous attempt at an accent is beyond annoying. And i feel like the exchanges between actors is awkward with a sort of "live theater" feel to it. Def not in a good way, more like what you would expect when taking in a discounted preview show where the actors havent quite got their cues down yet. For instance, when kutcher's character refused to get coffee for his dad, the scene felt forced and inauthentic.

To other people's point about the laugh track, I think it only highlights the poor dialogue exchanges- you know the dialogue SHOULD be funny because of the canned laughter, but the lack of flow between actors just makes everything feel awkward.

I honestly do not understand why so many critics rated this show so highly...this show is something id expect from a lesser streaming service, not Netflix- wtf!?

Netflix has enough original content history to have ample evidence to fire their original content team, starting with Ted Sarandos, who has given Netflix customers nothing but unmitigated crap. Fully 97% of what he has produced is, like The Ranch, horribly written and horribly directed. House of Cards was always just that, a paper production over the top and irrelevant. To date, Narcos has been the only legitimate production. If they were smart, they would pay what's needed for shows like Endeavor, the worthy successor to Foyle's War. Instead, you get loser after loser. Ted must be in the process of finding his way. With 6 billion dollars.

I believe the last season of The Killing was produced by Netflix as well, I enjoyed that.

I mean..it´s Ashton Kutcher and the less talented Masterson, from that 70s show, doing exactly the same stint as in that 70s show. It´s not like it was unexpected.

Not worst ever, but pretty terrible.

The jokes fall flat and cliched. The "acting" seems like a first rehearsal about 10 minutes after being handed a script.

And the laugh track - loud, fake and cringe-worthy.

Total bomb.

gd people are snooty. This show is entertaining. Good cast. Managed to get me past the laugh track. The family dynamics are intriguing. Made me laugh a few times. Get over your snobby selves.
