I could really like this show. Sam Elliot is absolutely one of my favorite cowboy actors. I have not figured out why you have him using the "F" bomb every chance you get. Cowboys don't use that kind of language in front of women. Listening to him swear, just ruins the whole show for me. I get that it is supposed to make the show funny, but really, the writers can come up with something smarter then that all the time.
Sam....please stand up and tell them you made a name for yourself as a cowboy...and respectful of women at that!!

I respectfully disagree. When he uses the F word is very funny to me. It seems do genuine to me!

It's not.
You don't curse that way in front of any woman except your wife as with her you can let it all loose. I do not curse and have not cursed, in front of another woman and i agree with the OP, Elliott, portraying a cowboy, should not as well

To each their own I guess, I grew up on a farm. My dad and my brother are still farmers and we did not swear like these folks do.

I do like the show, just wish there was less swearing.

I agree. I grew up at the Oklahoma National Stockyards, and those men had a code. Language was cleaned up in front of women and children.

Although I agree with you, I look at it in a different way. The father may have picked up the cussing freely from Rooster over the years. After Maggie left, it was just the boys on the ranch and this would bring about a lax state of affairs. he is also a disgruntled man who never takes crap from anybody nor cares about their opinion...hence the FU if you don't like it attitude. Many older people have this attitude when they get to the point of not trusting, caring, or thinking they don't need anyone
