Well jill sees a painting of mountains and realizes gary is hiding in that snowboarding town he mentioned. So she heads there alone, discovers he's hiding at his coaches house. She finds an alive emily who finally realizes gary is crap.

Meanwhile her private investigator confused the gun matches gary dna, but only a family match. So now she knows Ritchie is in in it.

The Bros show up, a chase in the woods ensues. Gary kills Ritchie via gunshot. Emily pushes gary down a mountain. Emily Connor and Jill live happily ever after.

After showing the boy alive- the next scene was the mother waking up at night smelling gas. She and her husband barely make it out alive, husband worse off as he was on couch closer to smart oven that mysteriously turned itself on. Jill remembers Gary had passcode and tells the brother that she thinks he did this. While at hospital she sees picture of mountains and remembers the story he told about staying in a cabin in Alexandria. She heads there alone of course! She finds the house, enters, receives all call while inside that Dna came back from gum and it is close to Gary, like a familial match. Mom realizes it must be Ritchie the brother. Investigator, who is one who called, warns she is in danger. She continues through house and finds her daughter tied up. Tears, hugging, apologies, mom was right about Gary, etc. Gary and brother show up find them trying to escape. Lots of threats, "scary" bad talk from Gary and brother about big plan to get new ids and get knew life. He wants money from mom so they can start new life but she doesn't have money as it was used for lawyer or is tied up. More fun flashing, scary yelling etc. mom gets upper hand punching Gary and they run. Brothers chase them into woods. Gary can't find them, shoots brother accidentally thinking it was girls. They fight whether to call ambulance or not, Gary says they can't and kills him. Girls scream, chase starts again. Gary catches up when girls run into cliff over river. They fight, mom knees in groin and then pushes him over edge. Girls are rescued, gary dead from fall. Days later happy family reunites in house after Jill and boyfriend get married. Love you's exchanged. Honeymoon postponed until daughter is off parole. Smiles hugs etc. the end
