Sam Smith, "Writing's On the Wall"? Seriously? I'll admit that I'm a minor Lady Gaga fan, but I hadn't heard either song prior to the Oscars. "Till It Happens to You" was POWERFUL. It wasn't just the Best Song of the year, it was the best song in YEARS. That Sam Smith song was wimpy and corny, at the same time. I am dumbfounded that ANYONE who had heard both songs, would possibly have chosen his over hers. I'm stupefied. Every single person who voted for the Smith song needs to issue a public apology.
