The Indian Oscar Selection Board are clueless

They have once again goofed up by sending an obscure, unknown film to the Oscars because they think it is the best film, rather than the right film for the Oscars. Oscars is not just about which film is the best, Oscars is about which film carries the most buzz and has the most lobbying behind it.

Bajirao Mastani was already carrying international buzz. It had some rave reviews from international media and had already won international awards. On top of that it stars two Bollywood actresses which are currently hot in Hollywood and it would enjoyed the benefits of the contacts they have in Hollywood.

The Indian Oscar Selection board need to be fired. Visaaranai is going to get nowhere at the Oscars.

if it is the case then tell me bro which recognized film from bollywood has won the Oscar award.Please have a look and which films from international has won award in oscar and how's the story.only becasue some film earn a lot of money and has a ravaging set doesn't make it eligible to win an oscar.So like you said if bajirao mastani had gone for the entry into oscar it also wouldnot have won it because there are so many good movie which went for entry to oscar from bollywood and still didn't won it.

Bollywood crap wont win Oscars. You nmight as well send a superior movie like this. I never even bothered to watch that other movie you mentioned. But i saw this on netflix. Great movie.
