I can't wait to see this movie! Pleas read the book, as well.

I was lucky to see For King and Country for their book launch on 08/30/16. I read the book in just a couple of days because it was well written and was an intriguing story. The story is an emotional journey of despair, fear, love, and chivary. If the movie is close to the book, then it will be a fantastic movie.

I actually saw the film at The International Christian Film Festival back in April. It's not perfect, but it was a surprisingly decent film, and I say that as someone who tends to LOATHE most "faith-based" films.

Check out my action-packed short film, Liberation:

Agreed. I like to support & certainly appraise, faith-based Christian movies but end up kinda upset how "in your face" they gotta be message-wise (not needed. We're not stupid & don't need everything spelled out like we can't figure out ANYTHING. plus my fear if appealing to wider audience...which should be ones objective, they just alienate instead).

Subtlety goes a long way, unsure when the Christian movie makers will get that.

That said, just throw out all the preposterous flaws in script, you have a decent film. Truly you do.

Sex trafficking is an area I've studied, know something about so maybe that's why I'm harder on this film than most people might be.

There's NO easy solution. Worse, unfortunately it's pretty rare it ends at ALL like it appears to in this film.

And c'mon....he doesn't realize driving "no question asked or answered" (line from the movie) is bad?

OF course he knew something sinister & illegal is happening & he's part of it.
Because ones WIFE dies, they lose their entire "moral compass"???...well NO, that is actually part of many persons lives (losing a loved one or spouse due to accident or illness) ....so I sure HOPE not.

But again, ALL that said, shining light on horrid nature of sex trafficking can't be anything BUT worthwhile, no matter what flaws along the way.

Additionally, it's clearly a "call to action" film as they end with a info & Please help website....all good there.

right now it's at mainstream movie houses (saw at my Marcus theater, not just a night...been there for days & I bet at least week if not more).

I pre-ordered the movie, and hope to read the book soon. I'm curious: Does the book go into detail on how his wife died? I heard the movie doesn't talk about it, but it sounds like she dies in some kind of car accident.
