Really, Harriet? Really? (Spoilers)

I was impressed right up until the end, but deliberately driving out into the wilderness, alone and unarmed with a man whom she now knows to be a stone cold killer, and then to confront him and accuse him of the crime while having not the slightest means of defending herself makes Harriet Dunkley a MONUMENTALLY STUPID person. How very “lucky” that her cop/wannabe boyfriend happened to show up on time.

Also, Dunkley really must develop better taste in men. Seriously.

Yeah, that was dumb. She should'a just got on the plane and left the country. He didn't want to kill her. She wanted to confront him about what he'd done. Don't know what end game she had in mind though.

She set that up with the policeman, remember before that she was at the prison. She also asked when they collected their things from security, where his gun was and he replied, in the glovebox.

Thats why she drove and when they got out of the car she locked it!

Right, but that outcome happened out of luck rather than out of strategic thinking. Why that location? I mean, I know why but that was an emotional choice rather than a survival-minded choice. I think that's what the OP is on about.

I had the same thought, "Really, Harry?" and it pushed me out of my immersion because it was such a glaring mistake in judgment. And, what was to keep him from grabbing his gun before he got out of the car... just in case. You'd think that would be habit, especially when with someone whom is being pursued. Very bad plan.

Yes. Thank you. You've said it much better than I originally did. The whole thing just screamed "movie moment," rather than real life. It seemed so contrary to what had been established for the character previously. That was my big problem with it.

When she was in the bath dying, why did he save her ? He was the one who arranged the attack in the first place.
