Middle age hipster soap opera

It took me a while to realise Sons of Anarchy was a soap opera on choppers - took me about three episodes to realise this was one one boardwalk bicycles

Don't get me wrong, I'm into it, but it really is a guilty pleasure - the writing in episode one (especially the opening) was super clunky, and it's only elevated to a degree from there - I guess it's mainly the atmosphere and that I used to date a girl in Venice that keeps me hooked (also, I have a lot of friends/co-workers/exes in AA) - just not sure the show is any good

I hope it gets picked up for a second season that gets a little bit better because, like I said, I really like the atmosphere, but I'm not holding my breath
