Sometimes you just want to see what happens so I kept watching but I couldn't wait to get away from these people.
Why is this listed as a comedy?
Have we not come to accept the fact that most non sitcom shows are going to try to tell an interesting story? I for one wasn't expecting some hilarious show, but I guess that's just me.

shareI'd say it falls into the realm of a black comedy, but more with comedy there only to soften the overwhelming darkness. The whole road trip scenario to see his mom has likely been told in a meeting at some point. And there is the possibility of a return trip where Kirsty goes to SA, her hubby to CODA, London to grief anonymous, and the rest to AA, all in the same building as often the clubrooms or rented facilities with have up to a dozen different 12-step meetings going on simultaneously. There are a lot of directions this show could go.
