Kara's ditching of Dennis?

Where did that come from?

She was abut to kiss the guy in the lane, was making plans for THAT NIGHT WITH HIM ... then bam off with Stefan? and it was out of character for a patient and till then loyal and honest person. Just too abrupt, again for the writers to beat Dennis down again.
