I think this is one of those movies...

..that I would have enjoyed a lot more had I not known anything about it. The biggest thing that sucks about the internet age is that any cool reveal or easter egg spreads like wildfire so the big TWEEST that this movie was an Unbreakable sequel was spoiled for me the day after it came out. And before anyone says anything, I wasn't even looking up anything about this movie, an article heading on a website I frequent just flat out spoiled it for me so when I got around to watching it alot of the impact of the ending was lost. Still thought it was a decent movie though.

I was lucky and knew nothing of the movie when I watched it (I like McAvoy as an actor). I hadn't seen Unbreakable and so Bruce Willis appearing at the end of the movie went over my head.

It's a fine film in its own right and now I'll have to see Unbreakable prior to the next one which has them altogether.

Oh, its definitely a solid film on its own but I feel like the fact that it's a secret sequel is what really blew people away and turned an 8/10 move into a 9 or 10/10 for some. I was a big fan of Unbreakable back in the day so I know I would have really enjoyed that reveal. Like I said its just one of the drawbacks of living in the internet age.

The Internet age has a way of having things spoiled even if you don't go looking for them.

I'm sorry the movie didn't quite get that twist in for you due to some reporter trying to get the scoop on it DC.

Hopefully with the next one you can get in early and catch it all without someone spoilering it for you.

Spoilering! Hah, love that.
Sorry, that was all lol

Maybe if you were a big fan of Unbreakable before seeing this movie, then maybe it would have contributed towards your enjoyment. But I saw Split before watching Unbreakable and I still liked the movie quite a bit, so I think it's only a plus really.

Its kind of messed up these days. I was a few episodes behind on the Walking Dead last year and had a major character's death spoiled by it being IN the headline of an article. Goddang that ticked me off...and it wasn't the first time. Seems like you just can't get away from spoilers these days, and yeah, the ending of this movie was important to be left unspoiled.

When you realize that "The Beast" is real...and that this is a supernatural movie...it becomes a different movie, and its a little weird, even off-putting somewhat. But with Willis' reveal at the end, it all comes together, makes perfect sense and even gives you a bit of a "Hell yeah! Here we go!" vibe. The two reveals work well with each other. Sorry that was spoiled for ya.

Be careful with Glass...friggin everyone seems to be talking about this movie!
