Finally!
Finally they got it right! Thrones finally got honoured as it should have been for the last 4 emmy awards. Although I did get annoyed with the constant jabs at True Detective, of all the things to criticize, seriously?
shareThe only thing I was THRILLED with was GOT getting the awards, otherwise the show was awful. But their wins totally made up for it!!
How nice for GRRM to be there on his 67th birthday (and I couldn't believe Andy Samberg made the joke to him in the audience "Happy Birthday and thanks for telling me Jon Snow lives" hahah). That was literally the only time I cracked a smile when Andy Samberg spoke.
I still don't understand how David Nutter (awww...he was so nervous he was shaking)and Mother's Mercy" won..I don't feel the episode was the best. "Hardhome" and Miguel Sapochnik were robbed. However, hopefully next year, Miguel Sapochnik will be responsible for directing the two greatest episodes of GOT next season (9 & 10)and fingers crossed they will win again, and he will get his due. But I could not be happier. All of the D&D haters are ballistic right now, and ericthorpe..you and I and the rest of the GOT show lovers are jumping for joy.
Was not expecting Peter Dinklage to win, I don't think it was his best season, but I was happy for anyone behind and in front of the screen that was a winner.
