Really enjoyed this

I've really enjoyed this little comedy and am surprised at the largely negative comments on here. I think they've looked at the success of The Detectorists and aimed for something approaching the tone of that, mixed with broader, Northern humour. It works and there are some interesting character relationships. I was watching this at the same time as the BBC's Mum, which has a similar Detectorist-style tone, but its characters are more under-stated.

I would like to see Jamie Demetriou and Lolly Adefope used a bit more in the next series - if there's going to be a next series. They are both comedy performers in their own right and it's a shame to see them in these archetypal bit-parts.

I enjoyed it but they relied too much on unrealistic characters who were all rather unconvincingly stupid as fück.

Everyone was a bit slow and docile.

That being said, it was good and there were enough funny moments to justify a second series. Fantastic cast as well.
