Exploiting real tragedy to make a crappy Christian film.

What was PureFlix thinking?

reply

I have zero expectations for PureFlix to have any sense of compassion. They are best known for their God's Not Dead series, which just plays on the idea of Christian persecution but in an insane mean-spirited way where all of their liberal atheist boogeymen are forced to admit that the evangelicals are right, but only after getting breast cancer or literally getting hit by a car and dying. I felt physically sick.

But it looks like their market is just furthering a Christian persecution complex, even if it involves exploiting a real tragedy that involved real people who really died or suffered losses.

Pureflix is morally bankrupt.

Agreed.

They should also make a movie about the "Christian" in Norway who shot 90 socialist youth campers dead. He made the Columbine killers look like amateurs.

Obviously, these dipsh*ts have a persecution complex. They seem to think people are going around trying to disprove the existence of God on American campuses, and they seem to think that school shooters are targeting Christians. The initial plan of Columbine killers was to set off a bomb in the lunchroom at noon and shoot EVERYONE who came out. It had nothing to do with Christianity. I'm sure Cassie Bernall and Rachel Scott were nice girls (I think I met the latter at a Denver-area forensics meet once), but they were hardly the only victims of Columbine, and they would have been shot dead regardless of their religious beliefs.

The guy wasn't Christian...he claims to be odinism

The fact that you have to lie to bash Christians is really telling...

"They should also make a movie about the "Christian" in Norway who shot 90 socialist youth campers dead. He made the Columbine killers look like amateurs."

Or a film about the abortion industry that the majority of modern secular liberals support that's responsible for an on-going holocaust that makes the work of Stalin and Hitler pale in comparison.

"but they were hardly the only victims of Columbine,"

Which the movie never implies at all...in fact it expressly states the opposite, and even shows actual news footage that mentions how many victims there were and tells us their names.

"and they would have been shot dead regardless of their religious beliefs."

Which this movie shows...there's no indication Rachel would've been spared regardless of what she'd said, and in fact, was likely to have died anyway from the gunshot wounds she'd already suffered before the question was even asked.

Good work. These loser have nothing better to do than to bash a movie. They don't even bother to watch the movie.

It's like bashing Suzanne Collins for writing the Hunger Games.

I think they're thinking dollar signs.

Like Kirk Cameron they're appalling Christians and it goes to show how morally bankrupt and twisted Christianity is getting that their films, based on hate, lies and fear, are actually doing well within the Christian community. It shows that Christians care more about having their ego stroked than they do kindness, compassion, truth or any of the other tenants they claim to follow.
