Well it ended just as I figured it would! (Spoiler Alert!)

The "evil" corporate types caused a "marsquake", fucking up the entire area, costing multiple lives, and widespread damage to both colonies. And they had to be rescued by the pure and saintly Scientists. And of course, the guy who made the decision gets killed, essentially by the very planet which he had the audacity to violate! And of course the evil corporate types wanted to cover it all up, but the P&S Scientists were having none of it!

PUH-LEASE!! Give me a friggin' break here!

And meanwhile, we got more green propaganda, ie bullshit. I could only stand this series by fast forwarding through the green bullshit.
