This was recently on PBS. I found it rather interesting what the African-American crossdresser said that people were nicer to him and treated him better when he was dressed as a woman than when he was dressed as a male. He did look more believable as a female than some natural-born females, though, so it made me wonder if people were even aware he was a male.

I knew a white transsexual who was 6 foot 3 and with her it was quite the opposite. People were nicer to her when she was living as a male, then stand-offish and distant as a female.
