very weird

Is this a movie or an art show? I can't think of a movie that I have enjoyed less...

So you've just stated that you don't like art. That's sad. That seems to be your fault then if you didn't know what you were getting into. The plot description sums it up pretty well.

reply

Nah...its just stupid

reply

Depends on what you call "art". To me, this film doesn't qualify.

Only in Show Biz by injection

Most excellent for those who love their dogs either living or in doggie heaven and Buddhism and are aware of the rise of the surveillance state. All these topics (and more)are covered inthis short film.

@Patty, you just changed your comment, previously you called it a pile of smelly...

You have a great resume. I too party around northern Europe with the musicians I play on my SomaFM web stream every September. I saw Laurie Anderson at the Punkt Festival (Kristiansand, NO) in 2014 do a performance with Arve Henriksen (violin and trumpet, electrified and processed).

Your earlier comment and amended comment indicates you do not like dogs or existential art films like Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu, Un Chien Andalou or directors like Luis Bunuel, F.W. Murnau or Ingmar Bergman's early work like The Seventh Seal.

I think it was a very nice piece of storytelling mainly :)

Went to see it twice. I enjoyed it very much to listen to her voice telling some nice stories. And the added imagery made it easier to keep the attention to it, I think. I would probably not be able to listen to such a long monologue if it was on the radio.

Also, I loved the music! Very nice. And of course the way it ended with this Lou Reed song during the credits was great. Both times nobody left the cinema before the end of the credits.

Come on people, this is a movie that has:
-A dog playing the piano
-A funny song about a dog in Bardo
-A story about a girl doing a summersault and breaking her back, that's still funny :)
-A dog wearing flip-flops
-Some wise quotes about life

How bad can it be?
It's great!

it also contains an excellent Wittgenstein-witz.

:)

I'm not sure I agree with you that the story about doing a somersault and breaking her back is "funny". . .
