Biggest Crime Of This Film
It just isn't scary, at all. I was pretty disappointed as it's got high user reviews, but it just wasn't that effective.
Pretty to look at, but not much else going on.
It was nothing that has not been done before. "Jacob's Ladder" came to mind more than once while watching it. And while not 100% the same it did indeed have elements.
Also, none of the leads were likeable. The restaurant scene pretty much set the stage to not like any of the characters except maybe the one cop who stayed out of the situation. But his actions are never explained.
I agree the film had atmosphere but I disliked the lighting design as it relied on only what was illuminated by flashlights once we got to the house. Very frustrating to continually just get quick glimpses of whatever.
Did not live up to the reviews I read.
