I do not know who wrote the "Goofs" for this movie,

But I would definitely recommend him to take back his words.
That's mainly because they testify against his own intellectual level...
This goof's writer simply misunderstood the whole meaning of that scene, in which Justice Meir Shammgar leaves his office from 1996 and walks straight ahead into the Israeli street of 2014. Gitai does that to teach us all, That Nothing Has Changed since the days after Rabin was murdered till now:
The enigma and problems it brought then, remains the same nowadays and the solutions to those dilemmas remains unchanged.
This is one of the strongest scenes in the whole film (and why Gitay put it next to the end of his movie) which he directed in terms of Symbolic statement (in a sensitive and humble cinematic way IIMSS).
This is not a "goof" unless we consider it's writer as the subject to be laughed at.

Rabin's murder did NOT cause these problems.

The problems already existed and Rabin himself knew it.

You are totally in denial if you can't figure this out.

This is utterly demagogy because the "problems" that killed Rabin surely "already existed" before the crime....
You simply used this sentence in order to reach your main target which is to throw at me your next sentence: "You are totally in denial". Bravo.
Hope you got your satisfaction what ever it is.

The problems with the Arab-Israeli conflict existed prior to Rabin's death and they weren't made any worse because of his death.

The movie (and some people) want to blame the lack of peace on Rabin's murder but that is ridiculous.

reply

That's again utterly demagogy because we all know that the fanatic settlers had sent the murderer. They have murdered Rabin and none of your words can cover it. Be honest at least and say the truth (your truth): Rabin deserved to die and if it was up to you his murderer should have been pa rolled years ago.

Rabin's killer wasn't a settler. He was angry at Rabin for the terrorism that the Oslo Accords brought to Israel. Many Jews were slaughtered in a "peace process" that never had a chance to work.

The country was so angry about Rabin's murder that the Oslo Accords will never fully die themselves. Rabin is seen as a martyr for the Oslo Accords.

It doesn't mean that they can work, though.

The Oslo Accords never had a prayer of working no matter what Rabin ever did (or anyone else).

If he had lived, he would have been defeated in the next election. Although the Labor Party received a lot of sympathy for the murder of Rabin, the Labor Party lost the next election anyway.

The Oslo Accords were a huge mistake and they were never going to work. Rabin's murderer is hated by almost everyone in Israel. His evil action ended up making Israel stuck with these awful Oslo Accords that can never work.

Everyone wants him to rot in prison for the rest of his life.
