Don't watch this movie. You won't like it.
I thought it was good though. It has a nice creepy vibe. Thought provoking. Even had a couple of decent jump scares.
Did you see this in theater? I'm itching to see this! Release date previously said sometime in Dec, now it it was released in Sept...

I didn't notice any jump scares and I definitely don't recall any kind of creepy atmosphere(almost had it right towards the start and then it dropped the ball), to each their own I guess. I really wanted to like this, but it let me down every time I thought it was going in the right direction.
Normally I love weird foreign indie horror flicks, but this one not so much.
Yep right there with ya pal. Also I didn't understand a few things -- like whose skeleton was in the grave? And why was Hana a demon instead of just a sad ghost? And why was Pietr in the photo with Hana at the end which looked like their wedding?

That wasn't pietr, I think the point was that it was someone who looks like him, her lover. Which is why the Ghost of Hana is attracted to him in the first place.
shareJust by your reference to The Witch, I will give this one a pass. That was perhaps the slowest paced movie that I've ever watched. When it was finished, my friend and I looked at each other and said "that was it? That's the movie everyone keeps telling us to see?" As die-hard horror fans, we were both hugely disappointed.
