They also bumped into each other in Lavalantula. But other than that, I heard, but I don't remember, the main gal from Z Nation was in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! as a character with the same name, but a rank lower than in Z Nation.

Both are B-movie fun, and thus too hard to compare. So I wont.
