I feel like everyone this season is extremely stupid and naive

Like for instance, how could Sarah possibly believe her husband when he told her he called those professional killers? How did he have their number and why on earth would he even have wanted to set up that meeting? (I won't even mention the way she confronted him in yesterday's episode, it was so ridiculous on every single level!)

Speaking of the husband, he doesn't look or act believable as some evil mastermind at all!

Or this last episode: why did the ship captain contact the authorities when he had illegal cargo on board? They weren't even offering a reward!

Or perhaps the writers just think the viewers are much too dull-witted to notice all these things.
