(Spoilers) what happened at the end?

This movie had started when I turned on the tv and on direct tv if you hit the rewind button you can go back and watch it from the beginning but you can't fast forward or rewind. Long story short I did that but I ended up falling asleep during the last bit of of it. I saw the part where the mom gets caught trying to sneak away Courtney. If I remember correctly (I was starting to fade) did the mom get taken to? What happened at the end though? Thanks!
