One of the most engaging films I have ever seen

From the intense first scene, to the amazing and bitter end, this film was near perfection.

This has EVERYTHING! Saw this at TIFF and couldn't help but being blown away by almost every plot line, every scene, every reveal.

I have seen 4 Korean films this year. The Net, Train to Busan, Handmaiden, and Age of Shadows.
And almost EVERY North American film from La La Land, to Moonlight, to Green Room. All the greats.

Age of Shadows, though, is a film that stands above the rest as a piece of masterful perfection.

I found in recent years that if it's a SK action-war movie set during Japanese occupation or the Korean War, it's definitely worth a look.
