The dumbest thing I've ever seen anyone do in a movie....

After everything she's seen and after eveything that's happened, Samantha is really gonna reach outside for that doll? I never seen that much stupidity in a horror movie. Nice writing! Come up with another reason for Llorona to get back into the house. Make it somewhat plausible?

An extremely weak tie-in to the Conjuring universe. I guess they wanted to use that to help promote this movie. Doesn't work. And there's no connection to the movies other than Father Perez briefly mentioning his run-in with Annabelle.

Meh.

I came here to make this exact post....

Like, I honestly believe that scene is the single dumbest thing I've ever seen in a movie....as I was watching it, I was in complete shock....

I can not believe that someone......

A. actually wrote that scene, It astonishes me someone could be that awful at writing

B. That the director and producer involved in the film actually Okayed it in the script/PRE Production and eventually even FILMED the scene

and C. it astonishes MOST that the scene got past the Post Production phase, that the Editors,Producers and everyone who was involved in making this film, Allowed this scene to be in the movie, and it wasnt Mandated that it HAD to be CUT from the film , I mean at some point, They had to have gotten everyone together in Post Production and shown a "first Cut" of the movie to everyone involved....It BLOWS my mind that the first and ONLY thing that Producers should have been demanding as soon as the first cut viewing ended and the director said "Thoughts? opinions?".......should have been "Ummmm decent movie, But The entire scene with the girl reaching for the doll has to go....Period....Non negotiable, I have no idea why you even filmed it, Its the dumbest thing I've ever seen anyone do in any movie ever, we cant have something so Brutally Stupid in this movie, That scene goes, or YOU go as the director"
