The fight scene in the bathroom...

First off, Henry Cavill is a stud and was one of the best things about this awesome movie.
And as great as the bathroom fight scene was, there are 2 things that stick our to me.

1) The Asian guy would not have been able to stand up to the blows Henry was dealing to him.

2) Near the end of the fight, Ethan bum rushes him. With the skills he (the Asian guy) was showing, there's no way he would have allowed himself to just be tackled like that. He had a full 2-3 seconds to react and counter when Ethan came running at him to tackle him. To allow himself to get tackled like that....was incongruent to the skills he displayed leading up to that moment.

Well, aren't you kinda sorta contradicting yerrself?

The Asian guy was standing, but after getting nailed by Cavill's cocked fists, he probably wasn't in the best of condition.

He might've been weakened and/or disoriented enough to be vulnerable to Tom's crude bum rush

In fact, all three of them looked pretty winded as the fight went on, in my opinion

Just saw the movie. This scene is well choreographed and more importantly well shot. It’s nice to see that they put in some real work and avoided all the shaky camera and quick edited shots that plague cinema so much these days. That’s what made it more enjoyable to look at.

It was a pretty cool way Henry Cavill broke out of his Superman character. No human would have a chance in a fight like than against Superman. I didn't realize it at the time, but the Asian guy was hired by Walker so had to be told some story. If he was getting his arse kicked good, which he was, then he should have tried to escape. I didn't necessarily get that he was that he was trying to escape, but fight. He grabbed a sink pipe in order to kill. Afterward, I thought Walker may have been trying to kill him. Hunt obviously wasn't. And then he gets shot in the face. It was an awesome fight scene, but what was hard to believe was his not trying to escape and getting shot in the face. That left more questions marks.

Besides those two, the two didn't have to parachute in. Just to get into a party? It was a cool entrance, but definitely something Hunt thought up to get rid of Walker. And Walker somehow ended up regaining consciousness to outdo Hunt. I get Hunt didn't want to kill Walker, but it ended up being a big risk to try and save him.

If you saw this movie in 3-D in theaters, then a hat tip to you. I gave it an 8 and thought it was the best MI film so far in terms of action and big scenes. Not much in terms of story though by McQuarrie. Not bad for the number of formulaic films it spawned and it turned out to be a worthy summer blockbuster.

Something Hunt thought up to get rid of Walker? He can't control lightning, you know...
But what you missed is the lack of time they had. The parachute drop was the quickest way to get to the point.

No way the Asian guy knew Walker was John Lark - Walker wouldn't have been that careless

He wanted the deal to go through; once IMF decrypted the phone, he had to get himself onto the Lark detail to either blow the extraction or steal the plutonium himself from Ethan

Also, Asian guy got shot in the face by Ilsa, who was there to protect him and see the deal go through, so no way he was EXPECTING to get shot in the face. He was, at that particular moment, actually trying to shoot Ethan in the face after knocking out Walker.
