Yes, folks, it's Jacki Weaver in another bad wig...

Hot on the heels of Last Cab To Darwin, here's Jacki playing another dinkum outback sheila, and displaying very little of the skill that's made her an Oscar nominee. Not that it's entirely her fault. She's entirely unsuited to playing rough-as-bags rural types, but I guess the directors mistakenly draw some kind of parallel with her character in Animal Kingdom. Oddly, this has led to Weaver being vastly more convincing playing American housewives and monster mothers (Silver Linings Playbook, Parkland, etc) than any of her more recent Australian characters.
