Goldstone or Mystery Road
Which did you think was better? I loved both but I might have to give the edge to Goldstone.

Mystery Road, by far.
This felt like a retread.
Mystery Road for sure. That wasn't a great film by any means but this was just sh!t.
shareMystery Road was much better. I think I voted that movie a 7. This one I gave a 5 and thats being awfully sympathetic. I probably should have given it a 4.
shareWhy do you think Goldstone was "sh!t", Maverick368?
KR
Mystery Road had a more developed story and more fully realized characters (Johnno, for example). This one was still good, but maybe one level below Mystery Road.
shareGoldstone was a 7 for me and checking back I gave 8 to Mystery Road, but to be honest I enjoyed both equally so edited Goldstone to an 8 also.
shareI give Goldstone the edge, but only just. Its shorter and I find it tackles some more interesting themes
shareLiked Goldstone better.
shareMystery Road by far. This was just a mediocre washup of the first instalment. Still better than many other new films coming out, though.
shareGoldstone isn't bad but Mystery Road I think is better. Aaron Pedersen is excellent in both though
shareBoth are really slow but i personally don't mind that at all if the pay off is worth it
I thought Mystery Road was really hard to follow at times but the characters were more realistic and it was quite grounded
Goldstone reminded me of a Clint Eastwood type film the baddies were a bit overly evil in an obvious way i thought with the mayor ect, having said that i think i preferred it i liked the arc of the young Cop and the trafficking aspect
The racism aspect is a little over done as well i get that's the whole premise but it was a little heavy handed in parts
Really liked Hugo Weaving's 'Turn' as well i did't see that coming
Give the series a try, too....
