Does anyone know where the mother of Brandon...the house is at and the house of her sister and her husband's other wife.

According to the filming locations on this movies page locations are big bear California and Santa Monica California

You are correct, I've seen the house and the same rocks on Big Bear Lake in the San Bernadino Mountains, CA.
