I think I prefer the old format

The one and a half hour movie format of the old Jack Irish seemed to move the plot along a bit faster I think. I don't find I'm enjoying the new format quite as much. I don't mind at all that it's become a more regular series rather than telemovies, but I think maybe one crime solved over two episodes, then move on to a new crime or new story for the next two episodes, etc, would of worked better. One crime, or series of related crimes stories, over six episodes is just a little too slow and I'm finding it hard to remember all the characters that popped up briefly in the previous episodes.

Will still keep watching of course! But just wondered if any other Jack Irish fans were feeling the same way? Really loved the three telemovies that came before.

Cheers,

Agreed. This isn't nearly as tight and streamlined as the "old" format, which is probably why I'm not enjoying this series as much a the earlier programs.
