Movies or 1h episodes?
Perhaps 1 1/2 hour movie-episodes.
shareIf this series holds true to Australian programming we'll get 1hr episodes in a run of six or eight for a season and if it sates the public's taste then perhaps another season. Marta has had recent success with 'A Place to Call Home' but hasn't always been true with others she's been part of.
I liked the Jack Irish movies as they managed to get into the gritty cut and thrust of the drama and Jack's ne'er do well character is believable and fun to watch.
I liked it to. Just hoping that if it's going to be 1h episodes that it doesn´t feels rushed to solving the case. Perhaps it's going to be an on going case through all episodes.
shareI'm afraid it's exactly the opposite. The one episodes are boring and slow. There's just simply not enough material to stretch it out to six episodes, it's almost agonizing. The hour and a half TV movies were awesome but this is slow slogging plodding boring garbage.
They needed to wrap up the plot threads basically every two episodes and start a new story.
After three really awesome movies I am absolutely completely disappointed.
