I agree, what the hell was writing a letter to the president going to do? We're they related or best friends? Most likely NO! So her letter would probably get tossed.
Although, when my mother and I wrote a letter of sympathy and sent a card to President Ronald Reagan after the attempted assassination on his life, we got a reply back from both Ronny and Nancy, with the official presidential seal and hand signed. I have it with my momentos in a box in my home library.
The woman was an actress who was only reciting the lines given to her. Fameless is not real in case you didn't notice. So you should really be complainng about the show's writers.
