I watched it twice and laughed harder the second time because I caught all the stuff I missed from laughing at it the first time!

Three great things about this show.

1) No laugh track.
2) It's going to have some season-long arc. Not one off episodes with no continuity. There is actually something bigger at play planned for the end.
3) It's very risque, adult humor. Network TV can't pull that off and I'm glad that TBS has the balls to push the boundaries.

This show reminds me of that show "Still Standing" with the 'bad parents' trying to raise the kids the best way they can but are really just kids themselves.

i know its weird but i never saw a show with laugh tracks... besides an episode of a random show on a tv while im eating :P
dunno why, it really turns me off the show completely...

It´s ok, it happens =)

And i liked that comparison with the artificial society we live in today.
I´m not American, but i think show´s like "all in the family" were made before real life audience / laughs ?

Hey dave_buffalo, have you managed to catch an episode of The Ranch, the Ashton Kutcher experiment on Netflix? Talk about an inappropriate use of the laugh-track, and im not saying this just because Kutcher isnt funny.

Im only 1 1/2 episodes deep but I really like it. Main cast is all funny. I hope it keeps going.

Why are you singling out Samantha Bee? Jason Jones, her husband, is the co-creator, -writer and -producer, along with some other folks.
And there's plenty of recreational drug use on TV.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

mostly junior high humor, but it is funny. I gotta say, though, that in episode 2 where the parents are giving the kids the sex talk, if my mom had told me she'd swallowed my dad's "seed", I think I would have wanted to kill myself right then and there.

On the surface, the humor is sophomoric, but fans of The Daily Show might catch the clever writing of Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, while others won't notice it the first time. This show gets funnier with repeat viewings.

"The Talk" pays off near the end of the episode with a callback that had me laughing so much! This is the first new sitcom I've started to watch in many years.

It's great.

I 'thankfully' caught the first ep; had to work the 2nd; but I have it set for auto tune each week.

I'm actually surprised at the language....cable doesn't always mean 'free speech'.

This is slapstick for the adults, and mature for the kids.

I hope in the next seasonS, the kids (who will be a little older), will have more input.

I still don't know what's coming around each corner, which is unusual.

Love it!!!
