Slap to Scientology. Question : spoiler.
Do you think the ending when the credits rolled, Kyle never really supported the Scientology cult, but rather had no choice bc they now owned his life?

No, I think Kyle is brainwashed, just as his wife is. Kyle did what he needed to, staying in the background at the beginning but, according to one of the guys at the end, he exploded suddenly into full commitment. Obviously, that's the point where the mind-change kicked in.
A creepy, somewhat depressing film, but quite enjoyable, especially when Fran Kranz (terrific in Cabin in the Woods, BTW) goes shirtless.
Well said. Yes. A film that really relies on whether you buy he ending on not. Frank did a great job.
shareHa, Suppressive pictures, I just noticed that. Definetly a slap in the face to the CoS. His mannerisms like Tom Cruise in the infamous interview, giving the medal out. That's directly from CoS footage.

Certainly seemed like a clear visual nod.
