Just one point, indicative of the whole production, in episode 3 the
train to Southampton was pulled by a British Rail Loco - which did not
come into existence till 1948!

...and not only that, but the class of loco did not even exist until the 1920s - some 40 years after the series was set.

The Ferry to St Malmo in part three....still exists.....it's the "Windsor Castle".
It was built in 1964.....Strangely though, it seemed well lit by Victorian standards!

I spotted this error. Great series though in spite of it - often TV and movie comapnies get train sequences wrong. In the era the story was set it should have been a South Eastern and Chatham train, surely?
