This is terrible

Got a free trial of HBO. Slim pickings of things to watch on it, so I tried this, though my expectations were low. It didn't disappoint!

Oh boy, what a mess of a movie. The pacing was bad right out of the gate, and continues on. Bad acting, bad writing. The only good thing is the CGI of the animals. That part's as good as the first one, and maybe better.

Ah well, it partially entertained me. Better than a poke in the eye with a knife.

Thanks, Dmac. I've found The Shape of Water, The Girl, and Phantom Thread to watch on HBO, so far. Doubt I'll keep the subscription. Not enough of the types of films and shows I'm into.

My feelings were similar.

For what it has to offer, HBO NOW is way too expensive at $14.99. Why the hell does it cost so much?

If they would lower it to $8.99 I'd be much more likely to subscribe.

I'll put it this way... a poke in the eye with a sharp stick would at least keep my attention!

I like stupid escapist movies so I've tried to sit down and watch this stupid movie on HBO two or three times, and still have no idea how it ends. I got bored and wandered off to do the dishes or something every time I tried.

Do you like the other Jurassic movies?

What an understatement.

Please let this franchise die.

It's probably my least favorite film in the franchise--it's battling it out with The Lost World for that honor--but I didn't totally hate it. Yes, it is at best only half the film that Jurassic World is, but I think it's a movie that I'll be able to pull off the shelf once every five years and have a bit of fun with.

I should probably rewatch it. I was disappointed with it when I caught it in the theater, but I often feel more positively about films the second time around, after I've had a chance to adjust my expectations.

The whole movie dragged on and it was less concerned with the dinosaurs than with the action and CGI. I know there is a hype about Chris Pratt but honestly, he showed his best acting in Parks & Recs ever since then he was nothing more than average. I am waiting for him to take a dramatic role and show us this side because I think that could actually be a nice change of pace.
The movie is messy and in my opinion, the makes didn't really care about the pacing or story the only goal was to set up the last movie with the dinosaurs living amongst the humans.
Honestly, it can only get better from here on out.
